Saskatchewan Legislative Building

Welcome to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada’s largest legislative building.

The Saskatchewan Legislative Building is an iconic provincial structure and majestic building situated in Wascana Park. Acknowledged as one of the finest examples of Edwardian Classicism in Canada, the Legislative Building was designed by the nationally-noted Montreal architectural firm of Maxwell and Maxwell.  The Saskatchewan Legislative Building offers informative and historical tours in both English and French 362 days a year. Visitor Services staff can answer inquiries related to the Legislative Building and provide information to delegates while shedding fascinating insights about the remarkable history of the building. Tours are no longer than 30 minutes, providing plenty of time to walk the grounds and enjoy the views of Wascana Lake.

While touring this distinguished building, try to keep track of how many types of marble were used to shape the prestigious character of the building. You’ll find examples in the entryway, rotunda and legislative chamber.
